We at Found are so excited to begin offering services and connecting with you all. Found on Friday is our place to come to chat about all things dating. As this is our first post on this blog, we want to use it to welcome you and share our vision.

I'm Casey, a late-twenties single woman and the founder of this special company. I will be the voice of Found on Friday and your matchmaker. I am what my friends call a free spirit, having a background in many fields throughout my short life. The thing that I keep coming back to is simple: human connection. From studying abroad in France at 16 to setting off to study acting at NYU as a young adult, I love to learn about other people and find that thing that brings folks together.

Dating is one of those things that everyone does, why does it have to be so hard? Being single is a moment in your life where there are endless possibilities. It should be a time of excitement, connection, and reflection. Instead, it becomes a time of anxiety, loneliness and embarassment. What if my date doesn't like me? Am I unloveable? I should've found someone by now, right?

Wrong.

I started this company because I believe that we are all loveable. We all deserve to find our match and spend a lifetime of hapiness with them. I noticed that the more "convenient" dating gets, the harder it is to find something genuine. Typical dating apps are all about quantity: swipe, swipe, swipe. We look at a photo for half a second and decide whether we want to meet someone. We don't depend on real life interactions to connect with people anymore, so we wait until we're looking at our phone screens to talk to people. Found Matchmaking Services was born out out of a love for human connection and excitement about the future of dating in Slo County, but it was also born out of frustration. The frustration that comes with dating in today's world.

My vision with Found Matchmaking is to slow things down, to get to know my clients and bring them together. If you're interested in Found, then you're exactly the type of person I want as my client. Someone who is tired of surface-level swiping and boring cyber small talk. I'm looking for people like you, who want genuine connection and love.
